C.R.C., c. 709 Loan of Defence Materiel to Canadian Contractors Order

This Order may be cited as the Loan of Defence Materiel to Canadian Contractors Order.

The Minister of National Defence is authorized to lend, upon the request of the Minister of Supply and Services, defence materiel for the purpose of assisting Canadian defence contractors to produce military equipment in satisfaction of foreign government purchase orders, provided that the defence materiel is not otherwise required for defence purposes and that it be a condition of such loans that the materiel be recalled if required for defence purposes.

The loans referred to in section 2 are to be made through the Department of Supply and Services, which is to administer the loans under such terms and conditions as the Minister of Supply and Services deems appropriate, provided that such loans are without cost to the Crown.
